Koala waking up from nap
Adelaide Zoo first opened on the 23rd of May 1883.  That’s 30 historical years ago and it was created by William Gasking and his famous zoological companions. Years past and the zoo is still better than ever.

Firstly the main attraction is two gargantuan pandas called Wang Wang and Funi . Wang Wang weighs 90 Kg and his name is Japanese for Net-Net . Funi is very active and playful and is Japanese for Lucky Girl. Next I ogled at two Aussie natives, a western grey kangaroo bouncing in the dry grassland and a sleepy koala who adores eating and snoozing up in trees .

When I got to the zoo, the rest of the eye-catching animals including an adorable red panda stared with their dark blank eyes directly at me with wonder and awe with their spacious habitats with their helpful keepers trying to get their attention. There are many fascinating animals and sights to see but I decided to visit three of these fascinating creatures that live in their natural habitats!
